I love the farmers market because it awakens my 5 senses: the smell of the earth on the orange carrots; the sound of the snap on a green bean; the sight of the colors with all the different vegetables to behold; the touch of rigid texture of the cauliflower, broccoli and the smooth silk skin of a tomato; and last one taste. Taste of fresh, enjoyable and satisfaction to the soul then the body. Thank you, “the Farmers Market” for helping my family live a five-sense life. Nothing is finer or worth spending your money on than a great farmer that is awakening your soul.

I love my farmers market because my son knows his cheesemaker, his apple growers and his meat producers by name.

I love farmers markets because they bring out the best in us. We gain an appreciation for healthy food, develop a curiosity for trying new things, honor and show respect for the people who grow our food, and rediscover a sense of connection to one another.

I love eating a fresh tomato that was just picked this morning, naturally ripened on the plant.
I love that my money is supporting these small businesses who preserve traditional plants and the native diversity of this region.
I love that my health improves from slowing down, eating local/fresh and appreciating the bounty of the growing season.

I love farmers markets because I feel good about spending money on food: I am not hurting the planet, the people producing the food, or the local economy. In fact, I am investing in the health and resilience of my community!

I love my farmers market because I can trust that I am buying good, sustainable, healthy, responsible food, raised by people provided with a livable wage, and unencumbered by big business and needless oil.

I love my farmer’s markets (yes, I frequent more than 1) because I get to speak to, and financially support, hard-working farmers who grow fresh and tasty produce which ultimately makes me look good to my students, family and friends.
