Farmers Market – Market Manager Workshop Opportunity

      Posted On: March 28, 2018

The Wyoming Farmers Market Association and Wyoming Dept. of Agriculture are offering a Farmers Market – Market Manager workshop, open to current managers who want to brush up on their skills or those new to thinking about running a farmers market.

This all-day workshop will help you run your farmers market more efficiently; we will cover everything from a better understanding of market dynamics, to basic food safety.

The morning starts off with basic mediation skills on keeping the peace between vendors or even unhappy clients. We tackle getting the word out, by marketing the market and making social media work harder for you; then we’re on to keeping the books, real-world farmers market experiences, and basic cottage food laws. We end the program with a quick review of basic food safety and what a market manager needs to look for.

Friday, April 13, at Laramie County Community College, Cheyenne, Wyoming
Lunch, snacks and hot beverages are included in the $40 registration fee. https://farmersmarketmanager.eventbrite.com
