The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation announced funding for 24 new projects out of the Knight Prototype Fund, which helps innovators explore early-stage media and information ideas with $35,000 in funding. FMC will use the funds to test a web-based tool that will help farmers market managers collect, analyze and communicate the impacts that their markets are having in their communities.

This tool will help individual markets tell their stories, while also creating a national database of farmers market information. Learn more about Farmers Market Metrics in this 30-second video that was created as part of the Knight Foundation’s application process.

FMC is so honored that the Knight Foundation is supporting this important work, and we’re eager to begin testing the tool!
