National Farmers Market Week Proclamation 2021 from the USDA

Every year the US Department of Agriculture proclaims National Farmers Market Week the first week of August. Starting a few years ago, FMC started providing a proclamation template for states, counties and cities to proclaim Farmers Market Week in their local areas.

National Farmers Market Week can be a fantastic opportunity for farmers market organizations to engage with their elected officials and the proclamation process can be a great way to get their “foot in the door” and foster relationships.

Read more about why advocacy during National Farmers Market Week is important in this guest blog post on the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition blog.
