Maryland Farmers Market Conference March 6th, 2018

Registration is open for the Maryland Farmers Market Conference scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Conference sessions will include marketing tips for farmers markets, updates on current regulations guiding the 2018 season and food safety. Training and certification sessions will be available for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program and the Fruit and Vegetable Check Program.
Farmers also can sign up to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The department’s weights-and-measures program will offer equipment certifications for farmers who bring their market scales to the conference.
