Minnesota Local Foods Workshops: Feb. 28th

AgWeek reports, “On Feb. 28, the University of Minnesota Extension Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships will host the Markets for Local Foods Workshop, a day of information and networking with growers, farmers markets and community connections in northwestern Minnesota.

The workshop will feature speakers from the Minnesota Farmers Market Association and Minnesota Grown, a discussion of the Food Safety Modernization Act as well as rural grocery collaborations. There will also be a sharing of success stories from around the northwest region on One Vegetable One Community and Power of Produce Club 101. Sessions are located at Bede Ballroom on the University of Minnesota Crookston campus. There is no charge to attend. Lunch is available in Brown Dining on campus between the morning and afternoon sessions – $5 lunch for workshop attendees. ”
