Elizabeth Comiskey

Membership & Outreach Coordinator

Elizabeth has been involved with small farms for almost (gasp) 20 years! Her love for farming began when she volunteered for the overnight lambing watch on her college campus. She had no idea that watching little lambs jump and bleat at 1 AM would direct the course of her life. After working on farms in Scotland and California, Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Arts and Sciences at Goddard College. Elizabeth managed the Phoenixville Farmers Market in PA, managing all aspects of the market and children’s programming, and developing community partnerships to support a thriving market. Elizabeth strongly believes that educational programming for children empowers them to become the advocates of health changes in their households. As program coordinator for FMC’s Power of Produce Club (POP), she enjoys seeing these changes taking place at FMC member markets.
As Membership and Outreach Coordinator, Elizabeth builds FMC’s network of members and partners to strengthen our national and state advocacy efforts. She is the coordinator for FMC programs, such as the Discover You Can and Power of Produce Programs. Elizabeth can be reached at liz@farmersmarketcoalition.org, (888) FMC-8177 ext 703.
