Emma is a local foodie and environmentalist from Raleigh, NC. With a BA in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, she understands the importance of supporting local, sustainable agriculture and how it can strengthen communities, their economies and the environment. Increasing healthy food access to those in need is her biggest goal, and FMC allows her to achieve this everyday.
Before joining FMC, Emma worked with the Fairfax County Park Authority to coordinate 11 farmers markets throughout Northern Virginia. Here she gained valuable experience working with SNAP and EBT programs. She also interned with the Worldwatch Institute, an environmental think-tank based in Washington DC where she assisted the communications manager. She is an avid outdoorsman and spends her free time hiking and exploring the wilderness of North Carolina.
