Farmers Market Coalition Launches Website Upgrades, Improvements to Interactive Resource Library

A newly upgraded Farmers Market Coalition website makes its online debut this week, strengthening the Coalition’s power to serve as a national hub for the exchange of farmers market best practices. Of particular note, the new design of the Farmers Market Resource Library includes a robust assortment of features: users can rate and comment on entries, customize their searches, and submit their own documents, links, and videos to share with fellow market practitioners.
FMC invites market managers, state associations, service providers, and producers to take advantage of these usability improvements by submitting resources to share with their peers, inspiring innovation and excellence within the farmers market community. Suggested topics for resources include market governance, EBT implementation and promotion, examples of operational policies, food safety, marketing, liability insurance, farmer recruitment, and other tools to help increase farmer sales.
The resource library upgrades are accompanied by enhanced website navigation, including easier access to pages and increased load speed. On the home page, visitors can easily see recent announcements as well as the newest additions to the library. To keep in the loop with current events in the world of farmers markets, visitors can also take advantage of the daily media feed will be frequently updated with farmers market-related postings and resource library entries. FMC members can also log in and submit training and education events to the National Farmers Market Event Calendar, which is available as a free resource to the broader farmers market community.
